Entries are
NOW OPEN for the 2009 Schools Writing Competition. Students from all
over Australia are invited to enter their short stories OR poems and
battle it out for the great cash prizes on offer!
We
encourage writers to submit work on ANY TOPIC and in ANY
STYLE. The competition is open to students from ALL GRADES –
Kindergarten to Grade 12.
There is no theme!!!!
BUT we are looking for stories and poems that really GRAB us so our
best advice to you is write a piece that you love to read and
I bet we will too.

THE
BOOK
Poems and
short stories entered into the competition will be considered for
inclusion into our 2009 Write4fun anthology! 1st,
2nd and 3rd prize winners will receive a
complimentary copy of the book.

“Writing is such an expressive form of
communication and we want to do everything possible to encourage the
students to be creative with it."
THE RULES
·
Only one entry per student – either a
Poem OR Short Story.
·
Poems must not exceed 16 lines and
Short Stories must not exceed 500
words.
·
Entries close August 21st,
2009.
·
Entries must be the original work of
the author.
·
Co-written entries will be
disqualified.
·
Name, grade, school name, postal
address and phone number must accompany every
entry.
